Ory's Way of doin' things!
Missouri Hick is the pride of Dennis Meiser, a master BBQer and woodworker whose skills are all over the place. From the hand made tables and chairs to the cedar stairs leading up to the balcony there is no mistaking the skill that went into the place. Denis has done the same with MoHick South ... Check it out.
Handcrafted tables are nice but food is king at Missouri Hick. All of our meats are seasoned with our special rub and then smoked overnight for 12 full hours. After resting you would need a rest too if you had just spent the night in a smokehouse) the meats are ready to serve with your choice of house sauces. Served with your favorite beer or wine it is a match made in Hillbilly Heaven. Make sure you all leave room for some cobbler.
Pulled Pork Shepherd's Pie

  • 5-6 cups of Mo Hick Pulled Pork
  • 2 Cups your favoite Mo Hick BBQ Sauce
  • Bag of Frozen Mixed Vegies
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes (6 servings)
  • 2 Tbspn Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Shepherd's Pie was one of Daniel's Favorite dinners!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Next wip up some mashed potatoes using your favorite instant using salt and Garlic salt to season. If you are an overachiever... sure make 'em from scratch ... but really? Mix your pulled pork with BBQ sauce (Dan recomends the Sweet n Smoky) and place in the bottom of the pan. Spread a layer of frozen mixed vegies (corn, carrots, and peas) on top of the pork. Next layer the potatoes on top and sprinkle the cheese over top

Bake in the preheated oven until the top of the casserole is deep golden brown, about 40 to 50 minutes.

"This is perfect for company", says Ory.
